I can see the utility of this, but it just clutters up the menu for me, and I really don't like the change. There are some convenience item in the store like extra bag space that you might want, but you earn gold in the game and use that gold to trade it for gems which are used to purchase store items. It only sends raw crafting materials (ones with slots in the bank for collectibles), stuff like iron, logs, blood and whatnot. Any crafting material that you crafted yourself has to be put in the bank while you're there. Not like that'll be a problem since you can access the bank from the crafting station. -> But I want to access my bank. "The one in here isn't for public use.
